The six provinces, including Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Bien Hoa, Lai Chau and Son La, are currently benefitting from a JICA-funded project on rural development adaptation to disasters.

At the workshop, delegates discussed and shared experience and lessons learned during the implementation of the project.

The overall objective of the project is to develop small-scale rural infrastructure, increase the productivity of crops and livestock, and enhance the value of sustainable agriculture.

Furthermore, activities on agricultural extension, basic agricultural practices, and healthcare are also being implemented.

Once completed, the project will directly help around 420 thousand locals.
