Provincial leaders meet children on on Int'l Children Day

ABO - On May 31, the Tien Giang provincial Youth Union Committee organized the program of meeting between provincial leaders and typical children on International Children's Day, June 1.

On the meeting, provincial leaders listened to many opinions from children such as: school violence issue, construction of play areas for children, dilapidated school toilets, summer drowning in children, real life skills alongside the knowledge in the school, raising the sense of obeying the traffic law, etc ... especially concerns about the issue of food safety and hygiene in school canteens.

Most opinions, thoughts and aspirations of children were satisfactorily answered by relevant departments. Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee acknowledged and praised the achievements that provincial children achieved in recent years. At the same time, he urged the Tien Giang provincial Youth Union and other local authorities should continue to work out appropriate programs and activities to create a favorable environment for the children and youths to be protected, better cared, educated and trained; to strengthen the education of revolutionary traditions and ethnic traditions in order to arouse national pride and love of the homeland of the country.

At the same time, many relevant sectors needed to broaden the forms of activities at the school to contribute to the whole society to protect, care for and nurture them to become the future owners of the country.

On this occasion, 30 children were honored as good examples of outstanding achievements in the movement of children in the school year 2017-2018.
