Activities mark 71st anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day

ABO/NDO - A wide range of activities have been held across the country to mark the 71st anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27).

The National Institute of Burns provided free medical checkups and gifts for 300 policy beneficiaries and needy people in Viet Xuan commune, Vinh Tuong district, in the northern province of Vinh Phuc, on July 14.

On the same day, 200 policy beneficiaries in Bo Sao commune, Vinh Tuong district, were also provided with free medical checkups by the staff of the Military Medical College I, under the Vietnam Military Medical Academy.

The Vietnam Public Sector Union recently visited and presented gifts to sick and wounded soldiers being cared for at the Lang Giang nursing centre in northern Bac Giang province.

Officers, soldiers and employees of Viettel Dak Lak laid wreaths and offered incense at the provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery.

They also donated nearly VND95 million to be used to upgrade 14 district’s martyr’s cemeteries.
