Director of the Department of Social Insurance Pham Truong Giang emphasized some important reforms of the social insurance policy reform project this time such as: The reduction of minimum social insurance payment period to receive monthly pension from 20 years now now to 15 years and towards 10 years. The adjustment to increase the retirement age is not applied immediately but it is implemented in accordance with the roadmap in line with economic growth, employment, unemployment, etc…

He hoped that through this exchange, the concerned departments, sectors of the Tien Giang province have agreed on the reform of social insurance policy as a basis for extensive propaganda in the labor components to help workers understand more clearly about the Resolution 28, a breakthrough resolution on social insurance reform in Vietnam.
