In 2018, The Tien Giang Association for Protection of Poor Patients, Disabled People and Orphan Children mobilized over 15 billion VND to support more than 1.5 million turns of people, including medical examination, free medicine for nearly 22,000 people; giving 142 wheelchairs for disabilities; replacing vitreous lenses for 630 people; awarding 512 scholarships to disadvantaged children; newly building and repairing 15 charitable houses, etc... In addition, the association also gave gifts and supported free meals for poor patients, illness, children in difficult circumstances.

Recognizing the contributions of individual organizations in 2018, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 9 collectives and 9 individuals contributed to the implementation of social security in the province.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Duc highly appreciated the special meaning activities from the Association's programs. He desired the Association to be continued as sponsor in a spiritual and material fulcrum for difficult subjects in the coming time.
