Various activities to mark 90th anniversary of Vietnam's Trade Union

ABO/NDO – The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour held a press briefing in Hanoi on July 16 to introduce activities to mark the 90th founding anniversary of Vietnam’s Trade Union (July 28, 1929-2019).

Highlighted activities will include a meeting to honour 90 excellent heads of local trade unions, a conference to review the sector’s achievements, and a live TV programme scheduled to be held on July 28 in Hanoi.

In addition, the Trade Union at all levels will focus on information dissemination on the traditions of the Vietnam Trade Union, and launching emulation movements to encourage creativeness among its members.

The Month of Workers 2019 will also be organised with many practical and meaningful activities targeting workers across the nation.

Grassroots units will visit and present gifts to workers living in particularly difficult circumstances and those who suffered from labour accidents.

Other activities will also be held to praise outstanding individuals and collectives who organised creative activities in implementing the Workers’ Month.
