Resolutely not to let the Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway project "break an appointment"

Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Nhat said that this is a project of great significance for the region and the whole country and at the same time implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee, Ministry of Transport, project enterprises and related parties should agree to actively remove difficulties and obstacles to accelerate the progress of the project as committed.
Especially, the State Bank and related commercial banks are urgently in the process to promptly support investors to solve the credit loan capital in accordance with regulations, not to let the project once more "breaking an appointment ".

On the basis of agreement between the concerned parties, the total investment of the project is adjusted to about 12,500 billion VND, an increase of over 2,833 billion VND compared to the total investment of the project according to Decision No. 1700 / QD-BGTVT dated 15 -6-2017 by Ministry of Transport and at the same time, on August 15, 2016, the construction drawing design will be submitted for approval.
Notably, from the date of converting the competent state authority from Ministry of Transport to the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (March 22, 2016), the locality has cooperated with the project enterprise to exchange and resolve opinions offers some contents related to the implementation of the project.

Many reasonable proposals and proposals of the enterprises have been considered and fully addressed by the province, in which organizations determined the volume of the field performed before the date of conversion of competent state agencies; negotiating to sign the Contract Appendix with the project enterprise adjusting some basic contents such as: changing the competent state agency, changing the information of the legal representative of the project enterprise, etc... ; speeding up the progress of site clearance to allocate clean land to project enterprises, etc...

The Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway project is implemented in the build–operate–transfer (BOT) form, stretching 51.1 km from the Than Cuu Nghia intersection (Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang) to the T-Junction with the National Highway No. 30 at An Thai Trung intersection (Cai Be district, Tien Giang ). In its first phase, the four-lane expressway measures 17 m wide and features 39 bridges on its main route.
In order to speed up the clearance work while the state budget has not been allocated and the credit capital of the project enterprise has not been approached, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee has applied the local budget in 2019 with the amount of 278.15 billion VND to pay compensation to households. Until now, there are only 44 households who have not received compensation.

As a result, Tien Giang finishes 99.4% of the land clearance. For the remaining 330 meters of road has not yet handed over the ground, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee is focusing on directing localities to mobilize households to receive compensation, to definitively settle the outstanding cases in order to hand over the whole point premises for project enterprises.
