Tien Giang creates favorable conditions for Thai businesses

On the morning of April 26, Chairman of Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong welcomed Ms. Ureerat Ratanaprukse, Consul General of the Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh city, as part of her ongoing visit to Tien Giang province.

At the reception, provincial leaders expressed their joy and excitement about the visit of Ms. Ureerat Ratanaprukse. Representatives of provincial departments informed the Consul General about the socio-economic development of Tien Giang as well as fields that the province are attracting and calling for investment.

Chairman of the PPC affirmed that Tien Giang and Thailand have good relationship in many fields. At present, in the province, there are 4 projects with investment capital from Thailand with total registered capital of over USD52 million, accounting for 2.55 % of the total provincial FDI in areas such as animal feed production, fishery processing, fish meal production, fish oil, etc ...

In 2016, Tien Giang exported to Thailand market reached 24.8 million VND, increased by 119.43 % over the same period with many various items such as garment, seafood, electrical appliances, handicraft, etc...

Provincial leaders hoped that Tien Giang and Thailand will have more development cooperation programs in the coming time. Tien Giang committed to creating favorable conditions for Thailand businesses to invest in Tien Giang province.
