Tien Giang enterprise signes a memorandum of cooperation with the Republic of Palau

On April 3, Deputy Chairman of Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Le Van Nghia and representatives of Deparment of Agriculure and Rural Development, Department of Industry and Commerce and Command of Tien Giang Border Guard welcomed the delegation leader of the Republic of Palau, led by Mr Sabino Anastacio, Chairman of Palau National Congress’s House of Delegates, working with Tien Giang province.

The two sides informed each other about the geographic and socio-economic situation of Tien Giang province and the Republic of Palau, especially emphasized the potential cooperation in agriculture and fisheries of PaLau with Vietnam in general and Tien Giang province in particular. Accordingly, Tien Giang province has great potential for fisheries and aquaculture, agriculture and labor. The Republic of Palau has the potential for fisheries development due to its long island, long coastline and the large economic privileges. By the visit to Palau by Ministry of Agriculure and Rural Development in 2016, this visit is specific opportunity to encourage the content of work to promote cooperation, benefit both sides.

At the reception, Tien Giang's government leaders witnessed representative of Thai Hoa Seafoods Trading Private Enterprise, located on hamlet 4, Tan Phuoc commune, Go Cong Dong district and Mr Sabino Anastacio signed a memorandum of understanding to promote fishery exploitation procedures in accordance with the two countries' regulations. The two sides expressed their hope that established diplomatic relations would pave the way for cooperation in many fields, particularly in economics, contributing to the consolidation of peace, stability and development in the region.
