Party leader lauds Indonesia-Vietnam friendship association's efforts

Budiarsa Sastrawinata said that the association, with the engagement of many Indonesian Government officials and businesses, has organised many cooperation activities with Vietnam across various fields.

Over the past few years, the association has coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia and its Vietnamese partners to hold numerous events that have contributed to promoting the connection, friendship and cooperation between the two countries, he said.

He hoped the Party General Secretary and relevant agencies of Vietnam continue supporting the association’s activities in the time ahead.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong showed his delight at the growing Vietnam-Indonesia ties, while highlighting the high cooperation between the two countries.

He said that during his meetings with the Indonesian leaders, the two sides agreed to promote their affiliation in all fields, both bilaterally and multilaterally and the two sides also concurred to encourage and back people’s organisations to strengthen their partnership, he added.

The Party chief also lauded the activities of the Indonesia-Vietnam Friendship Association, expressing his hope that it will continue operating effectively in order to connect people, businesses and localities of both sides.

He said he beliefs that Budiarsa Sastrawinata and the association will continue working closely with the Vietnamese side for a stronger, more dynamic and effective collaboration between the two countries.

On the occasion, the Indonesia-Vietnam and the Vietnam-Indonesia Friendship Associations signed a cooperation document on organizing major events between the two countries, and activities to foster economic and cultural partnerships and people-to-people contacts between the two countries.
