Leader of the PPC receives the Malaysian Consul General

On September 26, Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Tran Thanh Duc received the Malaysian Consul General Sofian Akmal Bin Abd. Karim.

At the reception, Deputy Chairman of the PPC Tran Thanh Duc introduced briefly the socio-economic situation of Tien Giang province, notably the agricultural economy - one of the strengths of the province with great potential and opportunities for cooperation between Tien Giang and Maylasia. So far, three Malaysian businesses have invested in Tien Giang province with the total capital of USD168.04 million. Leaders of the PPC hoped that with their role, the Malaysian Consul General will promote the cooperation between Vietnam - Malaysia in general and Tien Giang province with the provinces and cities of Malaysia in particular.

The Malaysian Consul General Sofian Akmal Bin Abd. Karim and members of the delegation thanked for the warmly welcome of leaders of Tien Giang province as well as introdued briefly the overview of trade, tourism, education and training of Malaysia.

The Consul General of Malaysia wished to continue to receive the attention of the provincial leaders in the coming time, especially to create a bridge for Malaysian enterprises to continue to invest in Tien Giang province, to expand production and business and to strengthen the friendship between people of two countries.
