Vietnam concerned about negative impact of US's decision on Jerusalem

Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson has expressed the concern that the US’s latest decision on Jerusalem may have a negative impact on peace and stability in the Middle East.

Noting that Vietnam has friendly and cooperative relations with all Middle Eastern nations, including Palestine and Israel, the spokesperson said that Vietnam welcomes all regional and international efforts, as well as those by the related parties, to peacefully deal with all conflicts and bring sustained peace to the Middle East, for the interests and development of all countries in the region, thereby contributing to both regional and world peace.

Vietnam has reiterated its consistent stance on supporting the two-State solution, including the establishment of a Palestinian state co-existing in peace with the Israeli state along the 1967 border line.

Vietnam holds that all solutions related to Jerusalem must abide by international law, especially the resolutions of the United Nations, and receive a consensus of all related parties.
