Chairman of the PPC hosts Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique

ABO – On March 6, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong hosted receptions for the Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique Leonardo Rosario Manuel Pene. Representatives of the provincial relevant departments and agencies attended the reception and working session.

At the meeting, Director of the Tien Giang Department of Foreign Affairs Luu Van Phi informed the socio-economic development situation of Tien Giang province in the past time and overviewed the cooperation relationship between the two sides.

Accordingly, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique Leonardo Rosario Manuel Pene hoped that the two sides will continue to support and exchange experiences, develop together, especially the training of cadres, investment promotion, agricultural production and aquaculture, seafood and tourism.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the PPC expressed his joy when the Ambassador visited Tien Giang province. Besides, Chairman of the PPC said that the province will send officials and businessmen to Mozambique to explore the strengths of Mozambique.

After the meeting, the delegation of Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique visited some agricultural production areas of the province, visiting Thoi Son islet, fish rafts on Tien river and pangasius export area of the province.

Vietnam and Mozambique have long-standing traditional friendship. The two countries established diplomatic relations on June 25, 1975.

From 2010 to the present, Tien Giang province welcomed many senior leaders of Mozambique to visit and learn about the model of wet rice cultivation, aquaculture, seafood, staff training, investment promotion, etc...
