International Symposium on City Planning 2014 in Hanoi

The International Symposium on City Planning (ISCP) 2014 will be organised on November 6 - 8 at National Urban Planning Exhibition Hall on Do Duc Duc street, Hanoi.

ISCP has been convened since 1994 with a central role played by City Planning Institute of Japan, Korea Planners Association and Taiwan Institute of Urban Planning.

ISCP’s objective is to develop and diffuse academic knowledge, to promote practices and to improve experts’ capability regarding city and regional planning through the close interdisciplinary communion, including research presentations and a panel discussion, on planning in Asia and Oceania.

Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association joined the consortium in 2012 and is to participate in ISCP from this time.

With the theme of “Prospect of Planning for Megacity Region”, the event will focus on six fields of socio-economic planning and development, spatial organization of the territory, transportation and technical infrastructure, environment, sustainable development and resource management, regional planning education and planning practice, and managing regional development.

The event is expected to draw about 300 participants from City Planning Institute of Japan, Korea Planners Association and Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association.
