The mooncake market has already been opened

The mooncake market in My Tho city has already been opened to serve consumers earlier than usual. Many mooncake stalls in Ly Thuong Kiet street, Hung Vuong street, etc… began to sell products.

Mooncake sellers said that they had sold from the last days of lunar June to lunar August 20. Mooncake of big brands as Dong Khanh, Kinh Do, Minh Tam, etc… is still controling market.

Average prices are around VND 45,000 – VND 100,000 a cake. There are not so many new and original products this year compared with the previous festival. Most of tradional products have been changed slightly flavor such as sweet is reduced or natural ingredients are increased for ensuring consumer’s health.

According to many companies specialize in producing mooncake, the purchasing power is forecasted to be good. Many mooncake sellers contracted with companies for buying cakes very soon. The produrers has concentrated on customers as the unit, business who always buy a large number of mooncake as gifts.
