Vietnam - Spain bilateral trade turnover rises
Trade turnover between Vietnam and Spain reached USD1.43 billion in the first half this year, a year-on-year rise of 26.3%, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
Of this, Vietnam’s exports to Spain were valued at USD1.26 billion, up almost 26% compared to the same period last year, while import turnover from the market posted up 30% at USD171.5 million.
Vietnam’s major commodities to Spain were telecommunications products, seafood, cashew, coffee and rice. Telecommunications hold the largest export turnover at USD366.4 million, 29% of the total value to the market.
Chemical products have the largest import value from Spain at USD30.7 million, a year-on-year rise of 52% or 18% of the total’s import value. Following were machinery, production equipment and other devices at USD28.4 million, up 121% and pharmaceutical products at USD14.3 million, down 6.9%.
Vietnam imported other commodities from Spain, including garment and textiles, footwear material, cattle food and other livestock necessities, chemicals, milk and its products, products from iron and steel industry, car parts, computers, electronic products and components.
