Tien Giang calls for 5 agricultural and rural investment projects

In the Conference Promoting trade and investment in agriculture, rural areas in the Mekong Delta under MDEC - 2014 in Soc Trang, Tien Giang called for 5 agricultural and rural investment projects with total capital of NVD1.000 billion.

The first project: The food processing plants and agricultural products in Thanh Hoa commune and Long Khanh commune (Cai Lay town) have a total area of 50 hectares, with total investment capital of VND300 billion for processing of rice products and many kinds of vegetables, fruits.

The second project: The gathering livestock with industrial scale in Thanh Hoa commune (Tan Phuoc district) has a total area of 200 hectares with total investment capital of VND100 billion with expected production of 146.7 thousand tons. This aim at improving the quality of breeding animals, creating new varieties with high productivity as well as high economic value; creating a consistent product, avoiding polluting the enviroment, being easy to control in livestock.

The third project: Vam Lang fishing port combined with storm shelter in Kieng Phuoc commune (Go Cong Dong district) has an area of 14 hectares, with total investment capital of VND265 billion. The goal of the project is receiving and processing, storage and distribution of fishery products, providing logistics services for fishing vessels fishing; creating conditions for fishing boats in the area to anchorage for avoidving storm.

The fourth project: The agricultural and aquacultural processing plants in Binh Tan commune (Go Cong Tay district) have an area of 30 hectares with total investment capital of VND200 billion for the processing of rice products, vegetables, animals livestock for export; processing coconut products, all kind of fruits; processing aquaculture products.

The fifth project: The export meat company in Binh Ninh commune (Cho Gao district) with an area of 2 hectares with a total investment capital of VND135 billion to provide products of animal husbandry products for domestic and export markets, solving the output of livestock.
