Tien Giang durian fruit gets high prices

Farmers planted durian fruit in Tien Giang province have been joyed when selling with high prices.

The high quality durian as Ri6, Mong Thong, etc... were bought with the price of VND30,000/kg or more depending on the time, up 20 percent compared to the same period last year. By this price, one hectare planted durian fruit got VND300 million to VND400 milion.

Durian has been identified as one of seven major types of fruits in Tien Giang province.

Tien Giang province currently has over 7,000 hectares planted durian fruit, concentrating communes along the Tien river of Cai Lay district and Cai Lay town.
