Thick-skinned orange fruit prices skyrocket

Thick-skinned orange fruit prices rocketed up in the fruit farming Cai Be district. The prices have increased two times over last month to reach VND47,000-55,000 a kilogram of best thick-skinned orange, and VND35,000-40,000 a kilogram of the second type of thick-skinned orange.

According to traders, the price of  thick-skinned orange increased because of the end of the main crop. The greenning disease in additon to harm many orange cultivation area, making the productivity and fruit quality reduced significantly.
