VND 107 billion invested for Cho Gao bridge

On May 28, the Tien Giang Department of Transportation started a groundbreaking ceremony of Cho Gao bridge in Cho Gao town, Cho Gao district. The ceremony was attended by Mr Nguyen Van Khang, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

According to the Tien Giang Department of Transportation as investor, Cho Gao bridge is built at the previous bridge’s position with a kind of cable-stayed bridge. It is 288m long, 6.5m wide and has a load of 8 tons, a 80m clearance, prevents river traffics from passing when tides are 9m high.

The project is built  with total investment capital of 107 VND billion and is scheduled for completion in 2016.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr Nguyen Van Khang emphasized the necessary and importance of building Cho Gao bridge. Therefore, he required the Department of Transport and relevant units have to cooperate with construction unit, aiming to ensure the project’s progress and take it for safe and effective operation.
