Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang inspects the traffic infrastructure projects

On July 17-7, Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang had a working and inspecting the progress of several key transport infrastructure projects in Tien Giang province. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Ngoc, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People Committee Le Van Nghia worked with Minister.

As report, Tien Giang has 7 key the province has is implementing 7 key transport infrastructure projects projects in progress, including: Highway 50 project, My Loi bridge, upgrading of Cho Gao canal, BOT highway 1 bypass Cai Lay town, WB 5 project, Trung Luong - My Thuan highway and upgrading, expanding highway 30 across Tien Giang and Dong Thap province according to BOT model.

In particular, My Loi bridge project with a total investment capital of over VND1,438 billion has basically completed 90% of the workload, expected to be completed at last Agust 2015; upgrading Cho Gao canal project with funding VND 2.263 billion including phase 1 with VND786 billion completed and put into operation. Many remaining projects has been in the process of implementing drasticly.

At the meeting, leaders of Tien Giang province has proposed a number of urgent issues on speeding up the project, construction of additional bridges on the key areas across highway 1, next deployment phase II of upgrading Cho Gao canal project, etc... to help promote the socioeconomic potential of province.
Minister Dinh La Thang noted the recommendations for appropriate remedial measures, and asked Tien Giang province to continue to accelerate the clearance of key transport projects, focusing on reorganizing transportation operations, especially checking overload of vehicle against the road surface deterioration and tightening measures to ensure traffic safety, etc...

At the same day, Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang inspected the progress of the construction of My Loi Bridge.
