Deputy PM meets business start-up community

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam hosted a meeting in Hanoi on August 12 with the business start-up community to evaluate the mechanisms and policies, as well as devise measures to help develop the community.

At the meeting, representatives of ministries, agencies, and enterprises exchanged views on a number of issues related to difficulties and challenges facing enterprises in their start-up activities; the application of science and technology; and the ability to access to capital in implementing innovative and creative projects, among others.

The business start-up community proposed that the State and government devise appropriate mechanisms to facilitate enterprises and companies in dealing with legal and administrative procedures.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam spoke highly of efforts, creativity and success made by the business start-up community, contributing positively to the country’s socio-economic development.

The Deputy PM said he hoped that the community would promote solidarity and strength to develop and contribute to improving the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises in the region and around the world.

He also urged ministries and sectors to create more favourable conditions to promote the formation and development of start-up enterprises.

The government’s e-portal should consider opening a mailbox to help enterprises resolve questions about mechanisms, policies and laws on business and investment, he added.
