Beginning construction of Cai Be 2 bridge

The Provincial People’s Committee has just begun construction of Cai Be 2 bridge on Dong Hoa Hiep commune, Cai Be district. Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Khang, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Le Van and representatives of the provincial departments as well as Cai Be district attended.

 

The Cai Be 2 bridge locates on the road 864, which connects Cai Be town to Dong Hoa Hiep commune. This is the last as well as largest bridge in seven bridges on the provincial road 864.

 

The groundbreaking ceremony is held for building the Cai Be 2 bridge

Cai Be 2 bridge has a length of 201m, 10m in width, a load of 30 tons. The total capital investment in building is VND115 billion, including construction expenditure about 60 billion, the remaining cost of land clearance and compensation. After finishing, the Cai Be 2 bridge will connect throughly the provincial road 864 with simultaneous contribution on sharing transport flow on the highway 1A from My Tho city to Cai Lay town.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Khang requested the investors, the construction company and construction supervision unit to conduct on schedule, as well as to ensure quality of work and safety assurance labor, traffic safety during the construction process. The project management committee should coordinate closely with the local government settlement on completing clearance work and the problems arising in the course of construction.

 

According to schedule, the project is expected to open to traffic on November 2, 2017.
