Beginning construction of the provincial route 878

On October 6, Tien Giang Department of Transportation has just begun construction of the provincial route 878. Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Khang, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Le Van and representatives of Chau Thanh district attended.

 

The groundbreaking ceremony is held for building the provincial route 878

The provincial route 878 has total length of 13,48 kilometres, width of 12 kiolometres with two bridges across Quang Tho cannal and Nguyen Van Tiep river. This route goes through Chau Thanh and Tan Phuoc district, with a total capital investment in building is VND984 billion. 

The project has 2 phases: The first phase is implementation from now to 2018, conducting in clearance space, demining in 2015, constructing road-bed and building bridges in the remaining years. The total capital investment in the first phase is VND460 billion including VND275 billion for construction and VND125 billion for clearance space.

 

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Khang requested the investors, the construction company and construction supervision unit to conduct on schedule, as well as to ensure quality of work and safety assurance labor, traffic safety during the construction process. The project management committee should coordinate closely with the local government settlement on completing clearance work and the problems arising in the course of construction.
