My Tho city inaugurated the work of road cum embankment alongside Tien River
On November 11, the People’s Committee of My Tho city inaugurated the work of road cum embankment alongside Tien River, which had total capital over VND389billion invested by My Tho city People’s Committee.

The work of road cum embankment alongside Tien River was started on March, 2011 with the beginning point in Binh Duc canal and the ending neighboring point in Tien Giang Water Supply Company. It has a total length of 2,625 metres.
The ground of construction is arranged as the bank protection which is designed by railings and decorative lights, the 7-met wide sidewalk. There are many parterres on sidewalk to create urban landscape for sightseeing and walking.
At the position of Rach Mieu bridge, the ex Rach Mieu ferry, the middle of Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street and Tet Mau Than, the work line is formed a radius of 200 meters with 27 meters salient river. This arc is arranged by plantting flowers and ornamental plants,etc ... to be a place for people and tourists’s stay ing and relaxing.
The sidewalk’s inside riverside is a 12 meters wide road associated with the planned roads in the area to form a complete transport ation network. Two roadsides is a high pressure mercury 7,6 meters lights system.
