Sumarizing the using energy saving programe in period of 2008-2015


On December 16, Tien Giang province People’s Committee sumarized the using energy saving programe in period of 2008-2015. Depty Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Nghia presided over the conference.

According to leader of Tien Giang Department of Industry and Trade, in past eight years, Tien Giang has invested  VND billions to implement many solutions saving energy effectively such as lighting up dragon fruit by compact fluorescent, using water heater by solar energy, installing control to decrease capacity of public light, by the support from of local budget and the inititative of institutions, individuals, businesses.

After 8 years of implementing effectively energy saving programs, Tien Giang has saved about VND 1 billion reducing approximately 361,157 tonnes of CO2 emission blamed for greenhouse effect. About the cleaning production program in the period 2011-2015, a number of businesses have recognized and gradually implementated of cleaner production measures to raise awareness of saving material, saving energy, improving the working environment of the factory. The industrial production bases applied cleaner production saving 5-8 percent of energy consumption and raw materials per unit of product.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Nghia, appreciated the effort of departments, People's Committee of districts, towns, and organizations as well as individuals that have implemented good programs using energy saving efficiently and the cleaning production program in the province of Tien Giang. He said that industries, all levels should promote dissemination and implementation of many more economical solutions for organizations, businesses and people to continue implementing better using energy saving efficiently and the cleaning production program in the future.

On this occasion, the Provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to 26 collectives and 48 individuals for achievements in implementating the energy saving program efficiently and the cleaner production program in past time.
