The event draws the participation of 500 enterprises from 14 provinces and cities around Vietnam, and more than 20 other countries and territories around the world including Belarus, China, Chinese Taipei, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Mongolia, Nepal, Russia and Spain.

The expo features nearly 600 pavilions introducing products in numerous fields including machines, construction, electronics, technology and information, materials, food, beverage and services.

Notably, the Republic of Belarus was chosen as the honourary country at Vietnam Expo 2016. This event has a great significance for both countries as Vietnam has just successfully signed a free trade agreement with the Eurasia Economic Union, of which Belarus is a member.

In addition to displaying products, the organising board also enhanced various two-way trade activities between Vietnam and foreign countries and welcomed international visitors to do business at the expo, as well as held activities introducing updated documents on orientations for trade and investment development of Vietnam and the world.

The highlight of this year’s event is the participation of enterprises receiving the 2015 Vietnam Value Awards for strong national brand names such as Vietnam Electrical Equipment Corporation, Tran Phu Electric Mechanical Joint Stock Company, Binh Minh Plastics Joint Stock Company, Duy Tan Plastics Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, Tan A Dai Thanh Corporation, Hanoi Trade Corporation and Hoa Tho Textile Corporation.

In addition to being a reliable destination for Vietnamese firms, the RoK has a large number of pavilions at the annual expo, with 76 pavilions by 71 enterprises.

Initiated in 1991, the annual expo has significantly contributed to strengthening exports, developing the domestic market and implementing commitments of international economic integration. The trade event also offers an opportunity for enterprises to seek more business opportunities and expand international markets.
