Provincial leaders works with Power Generation Corporation (Genco 3)

On June 13, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong and leaders of provincial departments worked with representative of Power Generation Corporation (Genco 3) about proposing an investment for buiding construction of Tan Phuoc power center in Tien Giang.

According to Power Generation Corporation (Genco 3), Tan Phuoc power center will be built with an area of 420 hectares, capacity of 2,400 MW and capacity expansion to 3,600 MW and, using the most advanced technology at present, etc… with an expected total investment of the Tan Phuoc 1 thermal power project as 1.8 billion USD.

As expected, the Tan Phuoc 1 and Tan Phuoc 2 thermal power project will be launched in 2023. The Tan Phuoc 1 thermal power plant will be operated in 2028 and the Tan Phuoc 2 thermal power plant will be operated in 2029. This will contribute to promoting Tien Giang province’s socioeconomic development in general and Go Cong Dong district in particular.

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Huong noted the proposal to invest in building Tan Phuoc power center in Tien Giang province of Power Generation Corporation (Genco 3). Provincial leaders with deparments of the province will unanimously approve early as well as propose reasonable solutions to let the construction be launched as progress planed.
