To need build regulation to urban management immediately: Chairman of the PPC
This is the direction of Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) at the conference about urban development Tien Giang province on June 23.
According to the Department of Construction, the province’s urban development goal by 2020 is to build a complete system of urban infrastructure, economic, social, technical and modern, clean urban environment, to be distributed and developed reasonably in the area, to ensuring each municipality stable, balance and sustainable development.

By 2020, Tien Giang has 16 cities, including My Tho city as the urban of grade I, Go Cong town and Cai Lay town as the urban of grade III, Cai Lay town and Cai Be town as the urban of grade IV, and Binh Phu, Vinh Kim, Long Dinh, Cho Gao, Ben Tranh, My Phuoc, An Huu, Thien Ho, Vinh Binh, Tan Hoa and Vam Lang as the urban of grade IV.
About solution for urban development, Chairman of the PCC Le Van Huong said that a reasonable investment will develop urban districts and rural residential areas with the exploitation of its own advantage. To conduct a review of the plan for each municipality as well as to clearly identify the new development dynamic and nature of urban functions, especially in the urban economy of the district and inter-district, simutaneously to implement investment projects in key construction for each urban area in the early stages. To focuse on developing major urban centers as My Tho city, Go Cong town and Cai Lay town.
