The mooncake market has already been opened

The mooncake market in My Tho city has already been opened to serve consumers earlier than usual. Many mooncake stalls in Ly Thuong Kiet street, Hung Vuong street, etc… began to sell products.

According to My Tho city Chamber of Economy, My Tho city has 35 ratail stores concentrated in many main roads of the city with big brands as Dong Khanh, Kinh Do, Minh Tam, etc ...

This mooncake production season in My Tho city has 23 establishments produed mooncake with output of 130 tons, an increase of 5 tonnes compared to 2015. Mooncake sellers said that they had sold from the last days of lunar June to lunar August 20.

In this mooncake season,  the price of some input ingredients (sugar, beans, sausages ...) increased by 3 to 30 percent therefore price of mooncakes in My Tho city has also increased over the previous year.

Mooncakes produed at province has now sold with fluctuated prices such as: Roasted chicken jambon with 2 eggs (220g) has a price of 90,000 VND/cake, roasted chicken fin with 2 eggs (260g) has a price of 120,000 VND/cake, coconut stuffing melon seeds durian with 2 eggs (220g) has a price of 68,000 VND/cake, etc…

Accoding to My Tho city Chamber of Economy, in this mooncake season, mnay establishments produed mooncake in My Tho city focus on improving product quality and package as well as designing and advertising to enhance the competitiveness of products.
