The PPC preliminary wraps up report of socio-economic situation in July

On Agust 11, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong chaired a conference to review the socio-economic situation in July  and to implement tasks in August.

According to genaral accsessment, the province’s socio-economic situation in July 2016 in the province of Tien Giang continue to get positive changes. A number of sectors rather growed such as industrial production rising 4.8 percent in comparison with the previous month, service commerce increased 7.5 percent, export reached more than 1 billion USD by the end of July, etc… Many field of culture - society were focused on the implementation to meet the requirements set out, the rate of crime and social order decresed 9 percent in comparision with the previous month, etc ...

Besides many achievements, the province’s socio-economic situation in July also faced with many difficulties, especially in agricultural production damaged by the water quality in the end of region was not guaranteed. In the field of industrial production, inventory index processing industries, manufacturing increased over the same period, etc...

Addressing the conference, Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong suggested that many sectors focused on solving many problems, especially the work of restructuring the agricultural sector, the work of converting cultivated plant and domestic animal in the eastern district, the environmental pollution, strengthening environmental monitoring and monitoring the cultivation of disease in aquatic animals, the management of noise, etc… stimultanenously implementing effectively solution team of the provincial People’s Committee, striving to achieve economic growth targets set out in 2016.
