Andros Fruit Processing Corporation of France lands to Tien Giang

On the morning of September 8, leader of the Provincial People’s Committee has worked with the French delegation led by chairman of Andros Fruit Processing Corporation Frederic Gervoson about the project of investing to process fruits in Tien Giang province.

Andros specialized in the processing of fruit products, dairy products as well as frozen desserts and confectionery. Founded in 1959, Andros currently has 26 factories in worldwide and owns brands such as: Bonne Maman, Andros, Pierrot Gourmand, Mamie Nova, Solo Italia, Chef Dessert, Barker's, etc... Gervoson Chapoulard family is owner of the corparation with the total assets of 300 million Euro by 2009.

According to chief executive officer for Asia, Yann GOAVEC, buying back two plants in Hiep Phat Co. My Tho Industrial Zone of the Corporation is laying the foundation for the Corporation’s land in Vietnam in particular and Asia in general. With the advantage of the largest fruit producing country, Tien Giang province is a favorable place for the Corporation’s investment.

Initially, in 2016 the recruitment need of Hung Phat Company, subsidiary company of Andros, is about 280 workers, and it will amount to several thousand workers in 5 to 10 years.

In addition to processing the featured products of Andros in Vietnam for exporting to the EU and serves the domestic market, Andros will also focus on cooperating with local governments to build vegetable production chains large scale, such as mango, pineapple, dragon fruit, cherry, think-peel lemon, etc... according to European standards, creating materials for processing as well as meeting the need for exporting.

At the working session, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Anh Tuan warmly welcomed the presence of Andros in Tien Giang province in particular as well as Vietnam in general and pledged to create favorable conditions for the Corporation to invest successfully in Tien Giang. The presence of the Corporation's leading fruit processing of France in Tien Giang is a good sign for the producing fruit industry of province and Tien Giang fruit growers and southern region.
