Cai Lay district sums up partially the production of the large-scale field in 2016

Cai Lay district has recently sumed up partially the production of the large-scale field in 2016 and implemented the production in 2017.

Harvesting summer-autumn rice 2016 according to the large-scale field model in My Thanh Bac commune, Cai Lay district.

With three rice crops in 2016, Cai Lay district had 1,485 hectares of participating the large-scale field model in 6 communes located on the northern of Highway One A. Total production of harvesting was 9,600 tons underwritten by Tien Giang Food company, Viet Hung Co. Ltd., ADC company and Tan Thanh Co.Ltd. 

In general, the large-scale field model contributed to improving the efficiency of production and business as well as guiding farmers to link producers to make agricultural markets stable. Farmers participated in the model were supported certainly of the business about breeding, plant protection substance, the purchase price, applying science and technology to production in oder to increase profit.

 

However, the expansion of large-sacale field in district in past time faced many difficulties because of the following reason: Supportive policies were not synchronized. Enterprises did not agreed on the time of acessing the price valuation, the day of harvest and quality of rice when buying. Many farmers were not acquainted with combined contract and observed terms of contract, etc ... 

 

At the conference, delegates proposed solutions to achieve district’s goal of 1,800 hectares participated the large-scale field in 2017, increase up from 10 -20 percent of income for farmers than the production according to traditional practice, 100 percent of farmers participated in this model to be transfed of science technology, using certified variety, appling mechanization in agriculture and ensuring 100 percent area underwritten.
