Provincial leaders surveys the area specializing in star apple and durian

On the morning of December 5, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong surveyed the area specializing in star-apple in Vinh Kim commune, Ban Long commune of Chau Thanh district.

 

According to his assessment, the drainage in ditches was not good because of much stagnant water.

Chairman of the PPC directed that the Provincial Deparment of Rural and Development and locality bult a model to regulate water in ditches, to prune down a tree and to manure organic fertilizer, etc… since then to find cause and propose the solutions to prevention and control effectively of disease.

Surveying on prevention saltwater intrusion in the dry season at the area planted durian, the Chairman of the PPC surveyed the irrigation system in Ngu Hiep commune. He also learnt the solution to prevention saltwater intrusion as well as ensuring water for durian of gardeners in this commune.

In oder to actively prevent and combat saltwater intrusion as well as ensure water for the area planted durian in the coming dry season, Chairman of the PPC directed that the Provincial Deparment of Rural and Development researched and proposed solutions to building drain to prevent saltwater and store freshwater, to equip storage water bags for irrigation, water saving and to drill well under control.

In addition, the Chairman of the PPC also to checked Ngu Hiep preschools and Ngu Hiep cultural house.
