To deploy agricultural restructuring at Tien Giang until 2020 and orientation to 2030

Tien Giang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has just held the conference to deploy the project in agricultural restructuring at Tien Giang until 2020 and orientation to 2030. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Anh Tuan and representatives of departments, districts and towns attended this conference.

At the conference, delegates were heard Decision No 3320/QĐ-UBND of Provincial People's Committee on approving the project in agricultural restructuring at Tien Giang to 2020 and orientations to 2030, the draft plan to implement concretization the content, orientation of the project in agricultural restructuring at Tien Giang to 2020 of Department of Agriculture and Rural development.

Accordingly, the draft plan defined 10 specific implementation solution groups including: Constructing specialized areas with commodity chains on the restructured value chain production, strengthening the transfer and application of high technologies in production, expanding the consumer market, implementing policies to support the development of production, consumption, motivating and innovating development capital sources, organizing production, building new rural, strengthening regional links and responding to natural disasters, climate change to minimize risk for farmers.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Anh Tuan proposed that  the Department of Agriculture and Rural should study specifically promotion the completion of  the project in agricultural restructuring at Tien Giang to 2020 on a roadmap implementation of each year.

On that basis, identifying the specific tasks of each sector and region during the implementation of the project as well as promoting the propaganda to raise awareness among the population about the content and objectives of the project in order to gradually construct, confirm the effectiveness in creating value chain of agricultural restructuring production at Tien Giang in the future.
