Tien Giang prepares to build fruit park

On March 10, Tien Giang provincial People's Committee worked with relevant departments and design consultant unit on the fruit park project. Chairman of Tien Giang province People’s Committee Le Van Huong presided over the working session.

According to the design consultant unit, the fruit park will be built at Cai Be Town (of Cai Be district) with area of over 92,900 square meters including many works such as the park-fruit gardens occupied more than 50percent of the total area of the project, operating area; parking lot; restaurant  and hotel, selling fruit store, etc... The total investment is more than 280 billion VND including more than 100 billion VND from capital budget, the remains to call for investment. The project will be implemented from 2017 to 2020.

At the working session, relevant departments and Cai Be district discussed many solutions to concentrate all resources to invest in building effectively and complete infrastructure to form a high tourist attraction, combining ecotourism, orchards, traditional cultural values of traditional craft villages, contributing to connect tourism routes in the province to contribute to socio-economic tourism development of the local.

Chairman of Tien Giang province People’s Committee Le Van Huong noted comments of delegates and directed the design unit to complete the design of the project within a month, unifying the name of the Tien Giang fruit park project, planning fruit trees in the park, consulting experts on species of high commercial value. The overall of park should synchronize development of garden economy with special tourism product of Cai Be distritc and Tien Giang province.
