Price of dragon prices falls sharply but growers are still profitable

After a period of "highest price" in a half this month, the price of dragon fruit has dropped nearly half compared to the peak.

According to traders in Quon Long commune, Cho Gao district, white dragon fruit is VND13,000 per kilogram, red-flesh dragon fruit is VND25,000 per kilogram. Despite the price drop, many dragon fruit growers are still profitable.

Huynh Van Yiem in Quang Ninh hamlet, Quon Long commune, Cho Gao district has 4,000 square meter planting white dragon fruit. This time, his garden was harvested about 6 tons. He earned about VND50 million after deducting expenses.

According to traders, the price of the dragon fruit price is decresed because the demand is reduced. It is predicted that dragon fruit prices will be difficult to increase in the last months of the year.
