The conference evaluates the urban economic region of the Eastern

The Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) has just held the conference to evaluate the implementation of Resolution No.10-NQ/TU on developing three  urban economic regions of the province to 2020 and the orientation to 2030 (the Eastern region).

Since the implementation of the Resolution dated, the Eastern region has implemented the project of restructuring agriculture to 2020, the orientation to 2030; implementing effectively the project on restructuring of Tien Giang's industry up to 2020 with a vision to 2030; organizing to appraise the Trade Development Plan of Tien Giang province up to 2020, with orientation until 2030; continuing to invest in developing commercial infrastructure; focusing on the implementation of Resolution No.08-NQ-TW dated January 1, 2017 of the Politburo on developing tourism to become a key economic sector; setting up a file for proposing urban development region in Vinh Binh town, Tan Hoa town; completing the urban grade 3 criterions of Go Cong town.

In addition, in the first ten months of 2017, there were 80 new registered enterprises in the East with a total registered capital of over VND 235 billion, attracting 5 investment projects with a total registered capital of about VND227 billion.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong asked the provincial departments, sectors and localities to continue monitoring and organizing the implementation of tasks. For the 2018 public investment plan and the medium-term public investment plan (2016-2020), the provincial and municipal departments should promptly review and update their public investment plans. On attracting investment projects, it was necessary to review and assists investors in the implementation of the approved projects; continuing to implement solutions to remove difficulties for enterprises, developing plans to periodically contact, business dialogue, business households, etc ...
