Thanh Hoa is recognized as the new rural commune

On December 28, Thanh Hoa commune has just been proclaimed the new rural commune by Tan Phuoc district People’s Committee and The Provincial Standing Steering Committee for National Targeted Program to build new rural areas.

This is the third commune of Tan Phuoc district reached the new rural commune, besides Tan Hoa Thanh commune and Phu My commune.

After the implementation of the National targeted program for rural development, Thanh Hoa commune achieved 19/19 criteria in accordance with the National standard criteria of rural development indicators.
Accordingly, the average income per person is VND37.5 million/person/year. The rate of multidimensional poor households in 2017 is 3.56%, the percentage of laborer in working age reaches nearly 92%.

Along with the investment to upgrade the system of essential infrastructure electricity, roads, schools, stations, Thanh Hoa commmune focused on building many economic models as a lever to complete the other important criteria. Up to now, Thanh Hoa commune has more than 850 hectares of rice cultivated 3 crops per year with a total area of over 2.400 hectares. In addition, farmers in Thanh Hoa commune planted more than 300 hectares of pineapple, 55 hectares of lemon, 50 hectares of lotus, 25 hectares of dragon fruit, etc...

At the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee Pham Anh Tuan presented the certificate of new rural standard to Thanh Hoa commune. Head of the Provincial People's Mobilization Committee Tran Long Thon presented a welfare facilities worth of VND1 billion to Thanh Hoa commmune.

On this occasion, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee awarded the Certificates of Merit to seven individuals with excellent achievements in building the new rural commune. The People's Committee of Tan Phuoc district and the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa commune presented the Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 12 individuals with excellent achievements in building the new rural commune.
