Cai Be gardeners prepare mango for Tet Lunar Year

According to forecast of gardeners planted Hoa Loc mango in Hoa Hung commune, Cai Bed district, the price of mango on Tet Lunar Year  will be high than last year. Traders now come to the garden to deposit.

Mango fruit is not only served in the tray of fruits but only is made jam on the New Year. Cai Be district currently has bout 580 hectares of mango to serve on the occasion of the 2018 Lunar New Year with  an expected of more than 150 tons of mango to meet the needs of the people.

The Hoa Hung mango growers in Hoa Hung commune said that around the lunar mid-August, they began to cut water, process flowering to sell fruit on the occasion of Lunar New Year. However, planting mango for Tet Lunar Year was difficult because the weather was irregular, especially the rainy season at the end of 2017 greatly affected the quality and productivity of plants.

The gardener has now been busy with fruit wrapping and pruning of the branches to avoid shelling, fruit borer in oder to produce beautiful mango fruit with quality and high price.
