Cam Son is recognized as the new rural commune

On January 10, Cam Son commune has just been proclaimed the new rural commune by Cai Lay district People’s Committee and the Provincial Standing Steering Committee for National Targeted Program to build new rural areas.

Cam Son has a natural area of 1.252 hectares, with 2,290 households and 8,215 people. Thanks to the mutual efforts of both the local authorities and people, the aspect of Cam Son commune, where associated with the victory of Ba Ray history, has ceaselessly developed.

In the process of developing new rural criteria, many households have developed a revolutionary tradition in many movements such as donation of land, architecture, etc… to upgrade and expand the transportation network and many infrastructure works. The social welfare is worth over VND178 billion including VDN104 billion contributed by people. The poverty rate decreased to 3.88%; the average income per capita reached VND 45.2 million per a year, etc...

Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang People's Committee Tran Thanh Duc congratulated and praised the achievements of the Cam Son commune Party Committee, Government and people. He emphasized that this is an important premise for Cam Son commune to get more achievements in the future.

On this occasion, Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee awarded the certificate of recognition of new rural standards and donated welfare VND1 billion. 27 individuals contributed to the construction of new rural commune were also commended by the People's Committees at all levels.
