The PM made the request while chairing a regular government meeting on February 2.
He noted that the CPI rise of 0.51% in January was high in comparison with the same month last year, which requires more radical measures in price management.
PM Phuc asked the relevant ministries, agencies and major cities not to increase the price of goods and services that could accelerate inflation.
According to the Government leader, the Vietnamese economy witnessed positive developments in the first month of 2018, with industrial production up by 20.9%, over 10,000 new enterprises were established and foreign reserves hit nearly US$57 billion.
