Tourist to Tien Giang province increased nearly 8.7% in the first quater

ABO - According to the Tien Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tien Giang province welcomed more than 459.000 tourists in the first quarter 2018, increased 8.7% over the same period. In which, foreign tourists reached 151.000 visitors, increased 6.7% over the same period.

The revenue from accommodation, catering and travel services reached VND1,467.6 billion, up 12.4%, of which, accommodation and catering services accounted for 98.2%.

Tien Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism continued to speed up the detailed planning on tourism development in Tan Phong island (in western region), reviewing the list of projects calling for investment in the 2018-2020 period.

The functional sectors inspected activities in the field of tourism before, during and after the Lunar New Year and strictly handle acts of law violation in the field of tourism, joining the Famtrip delegation to develop tourism products in Dong Thap Muoi sub-region of three provinces of Tien Giang, Dong Thap and Long An.
