Tourists to Tien Giang reaches over 787 thousand in the first five month

ABO -The number of visitors arriving in Tien Giang has surpassed the 788.7 housand figure in the first five months of this year, up 12.3% over the same period last year, according to figures released by the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee.

According to figures released by the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, the number of visitors arriving in Tien Giang has surpassed the 788.7 thousand figure in the first five months of this year, up 12.3% over the same period last year, in which, foreign tourists reached 262 thousand, increased 11% over the same period.

In May alone, Tien Giang province welcomed more than 165.5 thousand tourists, including foreign tourist reached 53.9 thousand.

The revenue from accommodation, catering and travel services and tourist assistance reached VND 2,484 billion, up 12.7% over the same period, of which, food services accounted for 96%.

Tien Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism continued to speed up the detailed planning on tourism development in Tan Phong island, con Ngang islet and the general planning on tourism development in Thoi Son island; to build the plan to organize the Week of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Tien Giang province 2018.
