After one year exporting star apple to the US market, gardeners in the Cai Be district exported about 60 tons of star apple while the total star apple production reached nearly 700 tons/year. The workshop agreed with many measures to promote the export of star apple in the 2018 season such as: To tighten the production and consumption links between gardeners and enterprises; To guide gardeners to prevent pests on star apple according to safe direction; to bag fruit combined with the use of gold fly traps using biological drug, etc ... In addition, the Tien Giang province Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will support gardeners bio-medicine and fruit-wrapping materials for the area already granted with code and support enterprises in determining the planting areas to expand the area to be granted export code, etc…

Cai Be district has 71 hectares of star apple and gardeners are concentrating on taking care of the 2018 star apple season which is expected to be harvested around November 2018.
