Focusing on implementing 19 key tasks in the last months of 2018

ABO - On September 26, the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee reviewed the situation of the implementation of political tasks in the third quarter, deploying tasks in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Over the past nine months of implementing the political task in 2018, the Provincial Executive Party Committee has focused on leading the implementation of measures to maintain economic growth at a fairly good level.

Some sectors continued to grow, such as industrial production, export, trade, attracting tourists, budget revenue, newly established enterprises, attracting investment capital for development of the whole society, credit growth.

In particular, the province successfully organized the Investment Promotion Conference in 2018 to create a good impression on the Tien Giang province and was highly appreciated by the Prime Minister, central agencies, provinces, friends, businesses, private companies, international organizations, creating favorable conditions to attract investment in the coming time.

Social security policies have been well implemented by leaders, contributing to stabilizing life and production of people, especially poor households and policy beneficiaries; the situation of political security, social order were basic stable.

The political system seriously implemented the Project 02 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on "Organizing the organizational structure streamlining and improving the operation of the political system of the Tien Giang province in accordance with the Resolution 18, 19 of the Central Committee of the XII Party Central Committee".

Economic growth in nine months increased by 7.4%, of which agriculture-forestry-fishery increased 3.4%, industry-construction increased 13.3%, services increased 6.3%. The export turnover reached USD 1.85 billion, gaining 69.9% of the plan, up 0.8% over the same period of 2017.

The State budget revenue reached VND 6,314 billion, gaining 79.1%, up 14.3% over the same period in 2017. The results achieved are favorable conditions for successful implementation of the Resolution in 2018 of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

Besides the achievements, the province's socio-economic development situation has also encountered some difficulties and limitations. Although economic growth is higher than the same period, many targets and plans have not reached the Resolution.

Addressing the conference, Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh requested that: The Party committees, authorities and functional sectors continue to lead concentrated resources to actively prevent, respond and effectively overcome natural disasters, not to suffer loss of life.

The Provincial People's Committees reviews unqualified targets and plans so as to make accurate assessments and focus on achieving and exceeding targets and tasks in the remaining months of 2018; to concentrate on building and completing the launch of 23 new rural communes, revising and solving outstanding problems in the new rural communes; to plan to support two new rural construction districts by 2020.

The Provincial People's Committee monitors, speeds up the execution of capital construction works; to concentrate on building the perfect scheme on "streamlining the organizational structure and raising the efficiency of the political system."

On this occasion, the Provincial Executive Party Committee has further elected Director of the Tien Giang province Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Van Man to the Provincial Executive Party Committee for term 2015-2020.
