Tien Giang province to export 400 tons of star apple to the United States

ABO - In order to achieve the highest results in the second year of implementing the program of export of star apple to the US market, Tien Giang province has prepared the raw material source of about 400 tons of star apple produced on demand of this premium partner, increasing 2.5 times in comparision with the first year.

There are 276 farmers in Cai Be district, Cai Lay district and Chau Thanh districts participated in the program of star apple production for export to the United States in the second season of 2018 with an area of 102.8 hectares certified by the professional sector as wall as issued code area.

In the production process, farmers were regularly informed, communicated and participated in technical transfer sessions on pest management at the request of the US Animal Welfare Service, guidelines for use of pesticides, bio-based pesticides, production logs, especially fruit wrapping.

The Tien Giang provincial People's Committee deducts budget to support star apple producing farmers exporting to the US biological insecticides, fruit bags and fruit trees.
