Tien Giang's industrial production index hits 13.3 percent in 2018

ABO – Accoding to the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, the index of industrial production (IIP) of the province in 2018 gained the highest year-on-year growth rate of 13.3 percent in the past two years.

The index saw a year-on-year growth rate of 13.3 percent in 2018, increasing 14.5 percent in the same period last year.

In 2018, the IIP approximately gained nearly VND 98,964 billion, increasing by 13.3 percent over the same period.

The value of the industry production increased 12.5 percent in the same period last year, including: manufacturing and processing, water supply, waste management and treatment gas, water, heating and air conditioning.

Some major industrial products posted high growth in 2018, including copper tube production, frozen fillet production and garment production.

However, some other products recorded a low growth or reduction in IIP, such as packaging, coaxial, bag, etc…
