Tien Giang province aims at building a model of large-scale intensive farming

Through three years of implementing the emulation subject of excellent farmer production and business in the period of 2016-2018 in Tien Giang province, there had an impact on promoting and exploiting the potentials and strengths of the locality, as well as internal resources of each household, contributing to the formation of large-scale specialized agricultural production models, high-tech applications such as large rice fields, safe vegetable growing areas and tree production areas eating fruits meeting Vietnamese GAP or Global GAP standards, aquaculture areas according to Viet GAP standards, etc ...

In particular, this emulation subject aroused self-reliance and self-reliance of farmers people, create conditions for confident farmers to reach the big market, etc…

As result of the review three 3 years of implementing the emulation subject, 288,000 households achieved the title of good production and business farmers at all levels, of which 40,400 households achieved good titles at the provincial level and 2,885 farmers received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister and the Vietnam Farmers' Association.

On this occasion, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee awarded 225 certificates of merit and 3 emulation flags to individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements in 3 years of carrying out the excellent production and business farmer emulation in the 2016-2018 period.
