100 tons of star apple exported to the US market

 ABO – Until this time, enterprises have exported more than 100 tons of high quality star apple to the US market.

Three enterprises in Tien Giang have purchased star apple for exporting to the US market including Dai Lam Moc company, Anh Duong Sao company and Chanh Thu fruit company.  These companies are purchasing star apple at garden with price from 30,000 VND to 35,000 VND/kg, higher than the market price from 7,000 VND to 10,000 VND/kg.

According to the plan, from now until the end of the crop, these companies will purchase about 300 tons of star apple to meet food hygiene and safety standards, export to the US market, higher three times than the previous year.

Tien Giang province has about 450 hectares of star apple breast milk. However, there are only 103 hectares in the communes of Chau Thanh, Cai Lay and Cai Be districts have been appraised by the specialized branch and granted traceability codes in the program "farmers associated with the business of producing star apple for export to the US”.

During the production process, farmers strictly follow the regulations of the US Animal Quarantine Agency, such as the use of pesticides, biologically-based fungicides, production diary, especially good implementation of fruit bagging, etc ... to thoroughly prevent the situation of star apple infected with insects or harmful microorganisms.
